Our Music Graduates

Thomas Loomis (Class of 2016) is in his Senior year studying Music Education at Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He is planning on furthering his education by pursuing a Master’s in Jazz Piano. (submitted 9/30/2019)

Grace Donofrio (Class of 2018) is a sophomore double major in performance and music education attending The Crane School of Music. She is studying opera and classical music under Dr. Kathleen Miller and has made many achievements during her short time at Crane. She is performing in “Le Nozze di Figaro” as a Coro mezzo in the Crane Opera Ensemble this semester, and she also participates in other large groups. Donofrio has been performing for most of her life; she has been involved in numerous festivals in both choral and solo settings. She made her Carnegie Hall debut long before her college career and has made many appearances there since. She also has had the honor of performing the national anthem at City Field for The Mets and at The Nassau Coliseum for The Islanders. This past summer she performed a solo at Guild Hall in East Hampton to celebrate Ugo Rondinone’s “Sunny Days” in collaboration with The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. (submitted 9/30/2019)

Andrew Wehnke (Class of 2015) is a current sophomore Playwriting/Screenwriting and Theatre & Performance double major at SUNY Purchase. Andrew has began to concentrate in Theatre/Experience Design, Playwriting, and Directing. Andrew is currently working back and forth from Westchester and New York City. Andrew's original play The Breeze in May will be presented off-off Broadway as part of the New York Theatre Festival. Email/Contact:,

Erin Damers (class of 2015) is currently a sophomore at Wagner College in Staten Island, majoring in Musical Theatre Performance and minoring in dance. She also plays trumpet in the Wagner College Marching Band. (check them out in the 2017 Netflix movie, Okja) . This summer, Erin performed in West Side Story at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale. In November, Erin will be making her Wagner College Stage One Theatre debut in Trojan Women 2.0.

Elizabeth Lucarini (class of 2016) is an Honors Student in Electrical Engineering at Stony Brook University. Her musical interests will continue as a member of the Stony Brook University Orchestra and as the first violinist to be accepted into the jazz band. She is so very thankful of the music scholarship she received through the Friends of Music and the opportunity to keep music in her college experience.

Lisa LaFountaine, a Class of 2015 graduate, has just begun her second year of college education at the University of New Haven. She is currently pursuing a B.A. In Music Industry and a B.A. In Music and Sound Recording. She still continues to play cello and teach locally. Also, she is currently a part of the Music Industry Club and Purebred Records, a completely student run label out of the University of New Haven. In the coming years she plans on studying away at the universities Nashville Campus at Blackbird Studios. (submitted 9/21/2016)

Kyle Berkoski (Class of 2013) is a Senior at Marist College and will be graduating in May, 2017, with a degree in Computer Science, a minor in music and a minor in IT. Kyle is currently the President of Marist orchestra and recently pioneered Marist's first orchestra-only concert. He has been working for IBM part-time for 2 years and will be starting full time after graduation. He will also audition to play with a local orchestra. (updated 11/29/2016)

James Mayr: I graduated from Rocky Point in 2008 and studied English and music at Binghamton University, where I was in the Pep Band and Wind Ensemble. I also co-founded a music organization, Explorchestra: The Composers' Orchestra (,, in which all music performed by the 30-person ensemble is written by its members.
